MODEL BRIEFING POLICY
The Western Australian Bar Association (WABA) supports equitable briefing practices to ensure that solicitors and their clients are aware of, and use, the full resources of the Bar and that the opportunities for members are optimized. In particular, equitable briefing practices assist in ensuring the development and progression of women barristers. The WABA recognizes that without the advancement of women at the bar the opportunities for women lawyers to be promoted to senior roles in the legal profession and in particular, to the judiciary, are limited.
